About Compost Connect PDX
Compost Connect PDX is a community project built to make composting easier and more accessible for Portland neighbors. For many people, especially in apartments or areas without city pickup, figuring out where and how to compost in Portland can be tricky.
We wanted a simple map where anyone can quickly see nearby compost drop-off spots — from farmers markets and community gardens to public programs and neighbors willing to share.
This project is 100% community-run and free to use. The goal is to reduce food waste, support sustainability, and connect Portlanders who care about living greener.

Hi, I'm Cory — I love building simple, useful tools that make everyday life a little easier and more connected. Compost Connect PDX started as a weekend project to solve a local problem, and I hope it grows into a resource that helps more neighbors compost with ease.
